- Many holiday rental property owners have their own website and have developed their own ways for promoting that site. Our purpose is to promote holiday properties on an equal playing field, giving all advertisers an equal chance of getting a booking.
Imagine the reaction of the advertiser who, perhaps, hasn't got his own website, and his feelings when visitors to the site may be whisked off to another part of cyberspace because of external links for advertisers who do! Even if you advertise your property on another holiday rental site and they give you a link to your own website - we are sure they have their reasons. BUT, they probably ONLY promote their own website and it is highly unlikely that they promote yours as well. Remember, we have created a level playing field which includes the fact that all pages are promoted individually to the major search engines and classifieds on a regular basis, further increasing your property's exposure and subsequent bookings. When a visitor arrives at this site, their sole purpose is to find a suitable holiday property and they will do so by using the search and find facility. If a property matches their criteria, it will be shown to the visitor and he will probably then make an enquiry. This search and find facility negates the need for a link to the owner's website (if he has one), as the visitor has already made his choice. Remember that the visitor will, if interested in your property, contact you, the owner, for more details. At this point you then have the opportunity to give him the address of your own website. Think about it - the site has attracted interest to a particular property and facilitated a communication channel to be opened between the owner and the potential renter and now you, the advertiser, can further "impress" the visitor by giving him your own website address, although at this stage it could be agreed that the visitor is already very interested and just needs to confirm booking and availability. This site has been designed to keep the potential renter at the site for as long as possible. Research has shown that the longer a visitor stays at a site, the better chance there is that he will make a booking.
We therefore do not add external links to any listing.
- VHR
reserves the right to refuse any advertisement for VHR's website
and will not be liable for any expense in doing so.
- If anyone attempts
to enter unsuitable material into the VHR website or database, or
persistently misuses the on-line systems, VHR will remove the
property from the VHR site and no refund will be paid.
- If VHR receives
substantiated complaints from anyone who has rented an
owner/agent's property, or an advertiser knowingly double-books a
property or engages in any unacceptable practices, then VHR
reserves the right to remove the property from the VHR site and no
refund will be paid.
- Payment for all
advertising must be made according to the Terms and conditions
- VHR
recommends that potential renters, or their agents, confirm all
the terms of the proposed rental contract in writing in advance of
the rental and, wherever possible, also view the property in
advance. We also strongly recommend that anyone planning to travel
takes out adequate travel insurance.

conditions are subject to change without notice.
